History
The house was built in 1896 by Henry B. Gish and his wife Amanda. It was a "gentlemans farm" built in the Victorian style and in the early part of the 20th Century underwent a small addition to the rear and some mission-style changes. Edwin H. Gish, the grandson of Amanda and Henry B. Gish, lived in the house as a child and reported that it was a wedding gift to his father. Tax records show the land was in the Gish family from 1864 until 1942. Since purchasing the house in 1990, Ann and Dave Royer have worked on the exterior and interior in an effort to restore its original splendor.
